Welcome to the DNPS Newsletter for December.
What a year it has been for our club, it has certainly passed all expectations in respect of where we’re supposed to be, being such a young club. Lets hope we can continue this trend throughout 2026.
December was an eventful month for us involving several trips out, a presentation evening as well as our “Christmas Meal”, which as usual was well attended. This month brought to an end a year of growth for the club that passed all expectations, and opens the door to exciting times ahead for all of our members.. here’s to 2026.
Our first trip out was to Neston to try and photograph the Short Eared Owls that have been seen there. It was a great day out, especially for those who had never been before.
On the 10th of December, We held our first ever awards evening, which was a great success. Many members earned certificates for their work that was commended in the end-of-year competition. There were also several trophy presentations for “Image of the Year” and “Photographer of the Year”, and of course, the L&CPU Knockout Trophy was on display for all to see.
We ended the year, as always, with our Christmas Meal at the Armaani restaraunt in Ashton. A final chance for the members both new and old, to get together one last time and celebrate what has been a fantastic twelve months for the club.
It was a wonderful evening as you would expect when you are in great company, with great food and a great location.
